In the southern part of the Makarska Riviera, at the foothill of mount Biokovo, lies Zivogosce. It is situated 20 km south of Makarska, 80 km from Split and 120 km from Dubrovnik.

The settlement Zivogosce is mentioned for the first time in the 13th century. The Franciscan monastery in Zivogosce, founded in 1616 , was this area’s center of spiritual life and literacy, with a rich library and valuable art work.

Zivogosce is situated on the slopes of Biokovo Mountain, where several beautiful pebble beaches surrounded by a pine forest are located. There are numerous options for sort activities.
