Please note, unlike some other agencies, we do not charge a buyers commission on top of the Developers prices. Located on the shores of Ionian Sea, in front of the Greek island of Corfu, Saranda is the one of main tourist destinations in Albania. The resort is characterized by a Mediterranean climate and warm sea waters averaging 290 sunny days a year. In the summer, temperatures rarely exceed 30 degrees during the day whilst there is a refreshing sea breeze keeping the evenings cool. Saranda is an old town, first settled by the Illyrian tribe of Chaonians who named it Onchesmus. Cicero mentions it as convenient harbour with favourable winds, however it is the bay on which it is built that gives Saranda its charming look. Near Saranda you will find the “Blue Eye” natural spring and the ruins of the ancient city of Butrint, a World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological finds in Albania. Also, close to Saranda is the ancient city of Finiq, which according to Edwin Jacques is found to have had one of the biggest acropolis in the ancient world, roughly 7 times larger than that of Athens. Whilst visiting Saranda and surrounding areas you might wish to visit the archaeological site of Butrint, Ethnographic Museum, ruins of the ancient town of Onhezmi in Saranda, the ancient temple and other ruins of Foinike in Finiq village, the small Castle of Ali Pasha in Vrine village, the Church of Saint Kolli in Mesopotam village as well as the beautiful Ksamili Islands. Albania signed the SAA (Stabilization and Association Agreement) in June 2006. Albania's low inflation, budget surplus and stable government are all attracting investment 2. EU/ World Bank/ EIB funds are budgeted to rise from €150m (2006) to more than €1bn by 2010 3. Upgraded roads and a new terminal at Tirana airport are increasing accessibility 4. GDP Growing at a healthy 6% per year and are set to accelerate 5. Just 2/3 hours from Western Europe with direct flights from the UKSome Important Points To Consider When Choosing Which Agent to Use When Buying in Albania….Unlike other agents selling property in Albania, we always undertake due diligence checks on the property and ensure that ALL the necessary documentation is in place PRIOR to marketing.Unlike other agents selling property in Albania, we do not charge a buyers commission on any of our off-plan or completed developments.Unlike other agents selling property in Albania, we try to personally view all developments prior to marketing during our regular visits to the country.
